Our Savings & Investment Plan FAQs

A UK resident over age 16 can open a Savings & Investment Plan. You can save by yourself or jointly with a partner. It is recommended that you use your ISA savings allowance before saving in a Saving & Investment Plan.

To open a joint Savings & Investment Plan please request a Financial Adviser

Access to your savings is simple and you can withdraw all or part of your savings when you need to, but don’t forget you should aim to invest for at least 5 years or more.

We can arrange for you to take regular part withdrawals. These can be paid to you on a quarterly, half-yearly or yearly basis. If your withdrawals exceed the growth of your investment your capital will be eroded.

There is no limit to how much you can save in a Savings & Investment Plan, giving you contribution flexibility to start saving from £20, if you want to save over the ISA allowance.

You can withdraw from your Savings & Investment Plan online with MyPlans or with a Financial Adviser or via Customer Services. The unit price displayed is for the previous working day, which changes daily, this means you may receive a little more or less than what you have chosen to withdraw. The price you receive will be based on the date the withdrawal is requested, and it may take up to 5 working days to process your request.
