Biography

Burçin Arkut 

Burçin joined Foresters in 2019 and brings over 25 years of life insurance experience across the UK and Europe. He was appointed UK Chief Actuary in 2021 plays a key role in shaping Foresters’ strategic direction, including business development, data science and inorganic growth opportunities in addition to leading the Actuarial Function.

Prior to joining Foresters, Burçin was Chief Actuary of Aviva’s Life & Pensions joint venture in Turkey, following a secondment from Aviva Europe. Earlier in his career, he held a number of actuarial roles at Legal & General. Burçin is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and holds a BSc in Mathematics from Istanbul University.
