Nikki L. Sorum

Nikki Sorum is a financial services executive with experience in leading and transforming sales distribution, achieving record-breaking sales, and launching innovative customer-centric financial solutions.

As Thrivent’s Head of Sales and Distribution, she led 2000+ financial advisors serving 2.4 million clients. She is especially proud of developing high talent, diverse leadership teams. Previously, Nikki served as Senior Vice President of RBC Wealth Management, as well as serving as a partner at McKinsey & Company in London, Chicago and Minneapolis.

Nikki has served on more than a dozen corporate and non-profit boards. This includes Alerus Financial, a NASDAQ-traded commercial wealth bank, and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, providing approximately 150 affordable homes every year. Nikki brings optimism, energy, pragmatism and gratitude to her leadership and board service.

She earned a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and her MBA from Harvard Business School. She was named as one of the Notable Women in Banking and Finance by Twin Cities Business in 2022.

Nikki has been a member of Foresters Board since 2025; she is currently a member for the Board’s Audit and Compliance and Risk and Investment Committees.
