Richard is a licensed and certified Service Technician Manager with American Opti-Net Inc., a telecommunication infrastructure organization. He has been employed with American Opti-Net for 29 years. He is responsible for all aspects of the information transport systems provided by his organization, including job cost estimation, proposal submission, material acquisition, ensuring adherence to industry standards, on-site project management, budget analysis and customer relations.
He has been a volunteer within Foresters member network system since 1989 and has held a variety of roles with increasing responsibility over that time, including Regional Councillor, Trustee for Member Network Funding and Regional Vice President, before becoming Regional President of the U.S. Central Region in 2014. Richard has been a very active volunteer for Foresters events over the years and has received recognition for his leadership and charitable involvement. He brings strong understanding of and affinity with Foresters Purpose, which he has honed over his years as a volunteer and leader within the member network system.
Outside of Foresters, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, attending auctions and estate sales, bowling and golf. He also enjoys hands on home projects and rebuilding/restoring his old Ford pickup.
Richard lives in Yukon, Oklahoma with his wife of 32 years Glenda. They have 3 daughters, and 11 grandchildren.
