What is a Foresters Junior ISA?
Save towards their future
If you are looking to save towards your child’s future a Junior ISA offers a tax-efficient way to build up a lump sum. You can save for them up to age 18, when the Junior ISA will automatically roll into an Adult ISA, so the child can continue to save towards their future and/or access the money. A child at age 16 can open their own Junior ISA.
Investing for a better return
You have the option to invest in a choice of funds. With your investments being looked after by the experts at Schroders. By investing in stocks and shares there is potential for growth that is free of UK income and capital tax. It is recommended to invest for the medium to long-term, helping to offer more potential for growth than saving in a bank or building society. You will only have an annual management charge of 1.5% lowering to 1% after 10 years, with no contribution or transfer fees.
Save up to £9,000 each tax year
Yourself, family and friends can contribute from as little as £10 a month and/or £20 for single contributions. Making it ideal for birthday and other celebratory gifts that can help towards their future. Ways to contribute to a Junior ISA with Foresters >

Junior ISA Calculator
See how much money your child could have at age 18 when you save in a Forester Life Stakeholder Junior ISA.
Calculator important information
- The amount shown by the calculator is only an estimate of what the savings could be worth on your child's 18th birthday. It assumes an annual growth rate of 5% and an annual charge of 1.5% (reducing to 1% after 10 years). Any monthly contribution is also assumed to annually increase by 3% per annum compound to keep pace with inflation, subject to allowable limits.
- These figures are only examples and are not guaranteed. The actual value could be more or less than shown, and could be less than has been paid in. What you will get back depends on how much your investment grows and on the tax treatment of the investment
- Inflation would reduce what you could buy in the future.
- The Forester Life Junior ISA is a stakeholder account and as such meets the standard for capped charges.
- There is an annual charge of 1.5% of the value of the funds you accumulate. If your fund is valued at £250 throughout the year, this means that we charge £3.75 that year. If your fund is valued at £500 throughout the year, this means that we charge £7.50 that year. After 10 years these deductions would reduce to £2.50 and £5.00 respectively.
- These figures assume contributions and investment until the child is 18. Subsequent top-ups to existing Plans may be invested for a shorter period depending on the age of the child at the time.
- Every year we send a statement showing the value of the Plan.
- All payments are locked into the Plan until the child’s 18th birthday and cannot be reclaimed by the donor(s).
- For more information please read the Junior ISA Key Information Document(s) and Important information.
