Income Protection

Peace of mind knowing your income is covered if you were unable to work through sickness or injury.

What is Income Protection cover?

Income Protection can help ease the financial stress you may feel, should you become diagnosed with an illness or suffer from an injury and are unable to work – giving you and your family a helping hand and ensuring the bills are paid whilst you can focus on the things that really matter.

You chose the amount of the benefit you require. This will relate to your income, how soon you would like the benefit to start, should you find yourself in this situation, and how long the cover should last.

Do I need Income Protection cover?

If you have financial dependants or have a mortgage that would result in you and your family struggling if you encountered a loss of income, you should consider Income Protection.

With Income Protection cover, if you were to suffer from a loss of income due to an illness or injury you can select your payments to be deferred by 3, 6 or 12 months to enable you to take into account any other benefits such as employers benefits.

You can cover yourself with Income Protection up to the age of 65 and the minimum cover period is five years. The benefit is received as a tax-free annual income and Waiver Of Premiums is included.

Income Protection is only available under our Personal Insurance Plan.

What's included?

✔ Cover provided for a minimum of 5 years up to age 65

✔ Waiver Of Premiums included

✔ Personal Financial Advice, face-to-face or video appointments

✔ Claim payment deferred options of 3, 6 or 12 months

This specialist advice service is staffed by experienced nurses who are on hand to provide expert help and guidance should the worse happen. Additionally a partner and children have access to bereavement counselling service, with up to six sessions at no additional cost.

Free will writing service

You can protect your family further with free personalised online document preparation, where you can create a Will, Power of Attorney, and healthcare directives from the comfort of your own home.

As a member you will have access to this and additional member benefits, such as giving back to the community you live in through volunteer granting applications, joining or even organising Family Fun events, as well as the option for you or your children to apply for a Scholarship and more.

The Peace of Mind service and Foresters member benefits are not regulated and non-contractual nor are they part of the Protection Plan Terms and Conditions. They may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and they may be amended or withdrawn at any time without notice.
