At Foresters, we believe responsible business means making thoughtful operational choices that support the long-term well-being of families and communities. For us, reducing emissions is part of how we help ensure thriving communities today and for generations to come.
In North America, we’ve leaned into smarter operations, from consolidating office space and more automation in our head office to enhance boiler efficiency to minimizing energy usage outside of business hours.
In the UK, we have maintained emissions levels despite a growing workforce by transitioning more of our sales force to hybrid and electric vehicles. Continued procurement of zero-carbon electricity has further supported our efforts to keep emissions low.

Investing to protect tomorrow
Helping our members build secure financial futures means making smart, responsible choices with how we invest.
That includes working with asset managers who consider the broader impact of their decisions on people, communities and long-term outcomes. These partners take into account environmental, social and governance factors as part of their process, helping us manage risk. In 2025, The Foresters General Account also added MetLife as a new manager. MetLife has been a United Nations Principles for Responsible Investments signatory since 2019.

Our UK sustainable fund
In 2023, we launched our Foresters Stakeholder Sustainable Future Managed Fund. Professionally managed by Schroders, the fund invests at least 70% in companies and countries working to lower carbon emissions or are already keeping their carbon emissions low. Our UK Sustainable Future Managed Fund adopted the newly launched “Sustainability Mixed Goals” sustainability label in 2025.
