Foresters Launches Legal Advice Service for Canadian Members

Helping with life's unexpected challenges

TORONTO, ON, November 24, 2010 – ForestersTM, a life insurance provider committed to the well being of families, has launched Legal Link, the newest benefit connecting Foresters members and their families to free telephone legal services and discounted legal advice.
Legal Link offers members access to more than 1,400 lawyers across Canada, making it easy to find expert advice on a variety of issues. Whether it’s a question about personal injury, traffic tickets or bankruptcy, if a member requires additional support, Legal Link can arrange a ½ hour free telephone or face to face consultation with a legal representative at a 25% discount off the referred lawyer's customary rate.
"Expert legal advice can be invaluable and is often needed when we least expect it," said Kasia Czarski, Chief Membership and Marketing Officer at Foresters. "Coupled with our financial helpline, Everyday Money, launched earlier this year, Foresters member benefits deliver on our purpose to champion family well-being."
Discounted Legal Services includes areas such as:
  • Landlord and Tenant
  • Civil (including small claims court)
  • Creditor/Debtor
  • Personal Injury
  • Criminal
  • Family
Canadian members can call Legal Link (1-800-444-3043) to access free or discounted legal advice in their area between 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday. For more information on Foresters Legal Link Benefit visit www.foresters.com/legallink
