Jim Bowden started his 40-year working career in 1967 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting with a Minor in Business Administration. After 15 years with the Internal Revenue Service as an agent excise tax specialist, Jim continued his career in a diversified sales and management field, from which he retired in 2007. After retirement he formed and operated JiNiN-Co Enterprises, an assembly manufacturing company, with his wife Nina Bowden.
Jim’s association with Foresters began in 1974. Since that time he has held various Branch and Regional positions, and since 2011 has been a member of the Fraternal Consultation Group and the Constitution Advisory Group. Most recently, the position of Regional Council President of the Central U.S. Regional Council. Jim has received numerous awards, including the Supreme Chief Ranger’s Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and several commitment and leadership awards. He also received a Certificate of Appreciation from Florence Hallum, founder of Foresters Prevention of Child Abuse Fund.
Jim has been a member of the Foresters board since 2013 and lives in Rowlett, Texas with his wife.
