  • Foresters Competitive Scholarships

  • Each year, the Foresters Competitive Scholarship Program offers up to 350 scholarships for higher learning worth up to $8,000 each. Students of any age with grades from 65% (Canada) or a 3.0 grade point average (US) may apply. Foresters may also reward up to five applicants who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and extraordinary effort and ability to overcome adversity the Ken Peterson Award for Community Leadership. Ken Peterson scholarship winners receive $5,000 in the first academic year and $2,000 per year thereafter, up to $11,000 in total. More

  • Everyday Money
  • A toll-free and confidential phone-based financial helpline that gives you access to an accredited counselor that can help answer your questions about everyday management of your money, call 1-877-230-1692 today.

  • Family Events
  • As a Foresters member, you can spend time with your family at sporting events, theme parks and more, at little to no cost. These events allow your family to enjoy quality time together without the hassle of planning or the burden of high costs. In 2008, more than 40,000 members and guests participated in almost 500 Foresters events. More

  • Community Involvement
  • Foresters provides you and your family with opportunities to make a difference through meaningful activities that promote family time and children’s health. Activities include building playgrounds and supporting local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network. Foresters also awards members grants for projects of any size that respond to a real need and have a positive impact in their community. More

  • As a Foresters member, you can shape the future and direction of our organization by choosing to become involved as a volunteer leader. More

  • Orphan Benefits
    • Orphan Scholarship Benefit
    • The scholarship benefit provides the children with a renewable scholarship of up to $6,000 per year for higher learning for up to four years to cover tuition and maintenance. More

    • Orphan Benefits
    • The Orphan Benefit is a monthly payment for orphans, which pays $300 per month per child to the legal guardian for children under 18 upon the death of both parents. Available to those members with certificates of face value greater than or equal to $10,000 or if an annuity certificate it has a value of not less than $10,000 or premium of $1,000 paid in the past year. More

  • Critical Illness
  • A $4,000 lump sum payment per membership is provided upon diagnosis of certain critical illnesses for any one immediate family member. Available to those members with certificates of face value greater than or equal to $10,000 or if an annuity certificate it has a value of not less than $10,000 or premium of $1,000 paid in the past year. More

  • Terminal Illness Loan
  • An interest-free loan is provided for an insured member who becomes terminally ill. The total loan can be up to 75% of the total amount of the Foresters life insurance on that insured.The maximum loan amount is $250,000. This loan will be repaid from the insurance proceeds payable upon the insured's death. More

  • Natural Disaster Relief
  • Emergency grants of $300 to cover basic needs such as clothing, food and shelter are available to help members and their families recover from natural disasters like hurricanes and floods. This money is considered short term emergency relief. The actual amount granted would be based upon the specific need of the household and may vary depending upon the type of disaster.
