On October 29, Alberta Region held a Build-A-Bear party to benefit the children at Alberta Children's Hospital. Each child at the Children's Hospital received a precious stuffed animal with a special get well message placed inside by Foresters kids. What a great opportunity this was for kids to help kids! Two sixteen-year-old girls were there to help out, and it was great to have the teens and the younger kids getting into it together.
The bears were delivered during the Cares for Kids Radiothon, November 4 - 7.
Bea Nemeth, a member of Calgary Chinook Branch, sent this message: "My granddaughter Jaidyn and I would like to thank Foresters for the wonderful night at Build-a-Bear. What a fantastic idea to help the sick children at the Alberta Children's Hospital. Jaidyn enjoyed herself and understood about where the bears where going and felt good about that."
