Regional Message

The year is now half over but the efforts of all our Branches continue to excel in offering our members great events and numerous community opportunities. It is thru these wonderful efforts that you all continue to make Foresters proud!

Recently, many of our member leaders have had the chance to participate in a Leaders’ Summit meeting in Atlanta, GA. Others soon followed in the USA and across Canada and the United Kingdom. Results of these meetings should be made known to the member leaders in the near future. All of us must work with the findings in hopes of Securing Our Legacy for future generations. I’m positive we will all work together towards that essential goal in maintaining our organization and sustaining it for many years to come.

I look forward to seeing our Branch leaders at our next Regional Council meeting so that we can continue the discussion that was started at the Leaders’ Summit meeting and be able to offer educated suggestions to pass along to Foresters House for the continuation of the organization. Change is often needed, but it is essential that we make the correct choices at this critical crossroads in our organization. We will also have some training sessions for the attendees so I expect to have a good exchange of useful experiences, policy discussion, and shared stories of successes.

Have a most wonderful summer and I look forward with great interest in seeing and talking with you all at our next RC meeting.

Gary Roessler, Liberty Regional Council President

Bingo Event at Veterans Center

The Liberty Regional Council held a bingo event and provided refreshments at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center in Scranton, PA on August 6 to benefit the residents of the home. This is an on-going commitment of the Regional Council to provide meaningful events to the men and women who have faithfully served our country.

Pictured with the residents of the Center are the many member leader volunteers of the Regional Council, of numerous Branches, and even one Foresters Board member with spouse and one Regional Director as they assisted at this worthwhile event. My personal thanks go out to all who participated and gave of their time.

Gary Roessler, Liberty Regional Council President
