Regional Message

It is hard to believe that a year has gone by since my election. Foresters, here in Illinois, has been very busy. We have had a very exciting year. Besides providing fantastic events for our members to attend, our officers and members have helped donate over $80,000 to our community partners. The many volunteer hours of our members enabled us to be so successful.

Our Branch elections are now complete. We will miss the hard work of our retiring officers, but we hope they continue to be involved. Congratulations to all of our new officers. And a BIG THANK YOU to all who have volunteered to continue on as Branch officers. New Branch officer information will soon be on their Branch website.

Please take time to periodically look over all Branch activities in your area. Keep an eye out for postcards inviting you to events, or asking for your help. There are many rewarding opportunities to volunteer your time and talents. I can’t wait to attend some of the exciting events our Branches have planned. They include: hockey, baseball, and basketball games, picnics, campouts, plays, dances, and lots more.

And remember to sign up for “Get More” at www.foresters.com/getmore. By signing up, you will be notified by email about updated newsletters and future activities.

We are excited to announce that the Illinois Regional Council is returning to Blackberry Farm, in Aurora, on Sunday, July 25. This is for all members in Illinois. More information will soon be coming out.

Hoping to see you all at a future Foresters event.

Pat Thompson – Regional Council President
