Regional Council Message

The 40th International Assembly was held in Halifax, Nova Scotia on June 15, 16 and 17. The purpose was to elect our Board of Directors and International Fraternal President for the next 4 year term. Your representatives from our region were: Doug Gear, Richard Gray, Dolly Forren, Joe Mainello, Phil Fajardo and Dan Boni. Bernard Bloom was re-elected as our International Fraternal President.

Foresters celebrated 135 years of service to our members and their communities. We along with approximate 300 volunteers (Foresters and local members of the community), put a complete playground together in 6 hours. We also had a Build-A-Bear workshop to donate bears to sick children at the local CMN Hospital.

Our Branch elections are coming up as well as some events for which we can use some volunteers. Please go to the Local/Branch Outlook tab and check it out. We also have the Foresters Cruise coming up in May 2010 and you can register online at the Cruise tab.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer.

Doug Gear - Regional Council President
