39th Annual Bowling Tournament a Great Success!

On Mother’s Day weekend, 132 Foresters bowlers gathered in the west end of Toronto to compete in the Maple Leaf East Region’s 39th annual 5-pin bowling tournament. This year Trillium Branch hosted the event. Activities started off Friday evening with a welcome reception at the Days Hotel & Convention Centre.

Twenty-two teams of members representing 11 Branches across Ontario competed for both team and individual awards. Winning scores were announced at the Awards Dinner on Saturday evening. After the presentations, bowlers and guests stayed on to enjoy an evening of dancing. During the dance, funds were raised to support the Herbie Fund at the Hospital for Sick Children, which is Trillium Branch’s current charity project.

As much as the activity centers on 5-pin bowling, Foresters members enjoy the weekend as an opportunity to meet and get reacquainted with fellow members from across the province. The Maple Leaf East Regional Council is pleased to announce that Futura Branch will host next year’s bowling tournament.
