Lynn Haight, FCA, FCMC
Senior Vice President
With her impending retirement in December 2009, Lynn is actively ensuring a smooth transition of her responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Membership Officer. In February 2008 Lynn added the title of Chief Membership Officer to that of Chief Financial Officer, a role that she has held since 2001. This was a testament to her long career as an accomplished financial services executive, including the last nine years at ForestersTM.
Before joining Foresters, Lynn was the Vice President, U.S. Fixed Annuities at Manulife Financial, and previously their Chief Accountant. Prior to joining Manulife Financial, Lynn spent seven years with the Bank of Nova Scotia, including five years as a Vice President. Lynn has spent most of her career in the financial services sector. She also spent several years consulting for the United Nations and the United Nations Development Program, in New York and internationally.
Lynn's volunteer and professional activities include a term as President of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Canada. She is currently a trustee of the Ontario Arts Council. Her international volunteer activities include acting as Chair of the World Agroforestry Centre, Nairobi. She was previously President of the Board of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra.
Lynn is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants, and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
