Dave is currently on the fundraising team of a local hospice, after recently completing a contract as Director of a National Institute, of which he is a fellow Member. He built a successful Timber supply business and for 25 years managed every aspect of the company until its sale. His association with Foresters began in 1973 and he held various offices at the Branch and Regional Council levels, as well being a past Director of Forester Health and past Trustee of Forester Health Charitable Trust. Currently, Dave is Governor of the Joseph Whitaker Foundation School and Sports College, is a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Builder's Merchants. Dave and his wife, Janet, live in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. They have two daughters and six grandchildren.
