James Daugherty

Jim Daugherty is Director of the Innovation Center and Professor at
Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona, where he has been on
faculty since 1988. In addition to having management oversight of the
Innovation Center, the college’s high-tech research and development area, he
is also involved in a number of college committees focused on hiring and
overall college strategic, technology, and budget planning. Throughout his
career, Jim has had extensive experience on Boards of non-profit
organizations and associations. His appointments include: Irish Cultural and
Learning Foundation as Executive Committee Treasurer and Director and
Secretary (current); Glendale Community College Faculty Senate as Senator
and Treasurer (current); Maricopa District Faculty Executive Council and
Political Action Committee; Phoenix St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee; the
American Dietetic Association’s Environmental Nutrition Practice Group;
International Diabetic Athletes Association; and Arizona Public Health
Association. Jim has been a member of ForestersTM for over 40 years,
and has served as Chair of his Region’s Area Service Team since March 2004.
He has served continuously in elected and appointed offices in Foresters
Branch system since starting as President of the Foresters Teen Club in
1965. Jim was High Chief Ranger from 1985 to 1991, and Past High Chief
Ranger, 1993 to 2001. He has participated as a Speaker twice at the National
Fraternal Congress of America and twice at the Canadian Fraternal
Association. Jim currently serves on Foresters Board of Directors'
Fraternal and Inspection & Audit Committees. He lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife of 33 years,
Arlen Anne. |
