In 2001 Foresters Board of Directors awarded him the Veteran’s Jewel (now called the Leadership Award), which recognizes members with 25 or more years of meritorious service. Chair of the British Columbia Area Service Team since 2002, Glenn has played a strong leadership role in helping his area’s Branches with Fraternal Transition, annual planning and reporting, and Community Impact Funding.

Glenn is a Chartered Accountant and has been a member in good standing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1970. He has significant experience in volunteer organizations both as a volunteer and as the senior staff person of a volunteer-driven organization.

In addition to volunteering with Foresters, Glenn has served both the British Columbia and Surrey Associations for Community Living, the Community Services Benefits Trust and Scouts Canada. In 1998, he was Treasurer of the Host Organizing Committee for the Games for Athletes with a Disability, held in Surrey.
