David E. Morrison

David Morrison is an actuary by profession and has spent his entire
36-year business career in the life insurance industry, retiring from
Great-West Life and London Life in 2001. David worked for Great-West Life
(1968-2001) and London Life (1997-2001) in many varied management positions.
At retirement, he was Senior Vice President and Actuary, and an executive
officer of both Great-West Life and London Life. Prior to this role, he had
senior roles in corporate planning, group insurance operations, individual
products and systems development. During his career, David played an active
role within the Canadian Life and Heath Insurance Association and the
Canadian Institute of Actuaries, serving on many committees and working
groups. David’s volunteer work includes serving on a number of Boards:
Manitoba Gymnastics Association as Vice President; St. Charles Country Club
as Grounds Chair; Health Sciences Center Research Foundation as Treasurer;
and Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature as Treasurer. He has also worked on
the fundraising campaigns for the United Way and the Kinsmen Reh-Fit Center. David
currently serves on Foresters Board of Directors' Human Resources
Compensation, and Inspection & Audit Committees.
David lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with his wife Anne. They have two
daughters and three grandchildren. |
